Overview
DEMAIN and Frederic Hooft are thrilled to introduce 'ARCA', a project where art and design meet.
Villa Arca was built by Jean van den Bogaerde in 1966. Its unique character makes this house a rare hidden treasure close to the city of Ghent. The construction of the house was achieved in six months, thanks to the use of a wooden framework and a thoughtful floor plan consisting of a simple rectangular plan with symmetrical layout. The arcade shape of the roof gave the house its name 'Arca'.
For this namesake exhibition, Belgian interior designer Frederic Hooft shows a curated selection of furniture with amongst others designs by Hans J Wegner for PP Møbler. DEMAIN carefully selected works by different artists, a chance to discover universes of different young talents: Klaas Op De Beeck, Vincent Chenut, Wannes Cools, Ethel Coppieters, Studio Hermano, Lucie Lanzini, Samuel Lemba, Charlotte Quinonero and Alba Suau.

About Frederic Hooft
Belgian interior designer Frederic Hooft manages to combine timeless interiors with the refined nuances of vintage and contemporary furniture pieces. Vintage Le Corbusier, Jean Prouvé, Charlotte Perriand and Pierre Chapo sit comfortably with work by Konstantin Grcic and Maarten Van Severen. Frederic has a passion for furniture pieces, revealing them in authentic and contemporary interiors he designs.
