Overview
Meet artist Robin Wen, currently based in Brussels, he graduated with a masters degree from La Cambre in 2018.
The artist’s pictorial practice explores the world of Free Party through his lifestyle, that of a youth in search of freedom. An approach initially documentary.
Using his personal archives or objects from his daily life, Robin Wen deals with the fragility and violence of this environment with strength and sensitivity.
Now «anthropological objects», his paintings are witnesses of a universe oscillating between fantasy and realism. This practice is part of the tradition of genre painting that the artist diverts and reappropriates.
