Studio Hermano Belgian, b. 1997

Overview

In his sculptures, Studio Hermano (Alexandre Hermans) explores the space between idea and matter. He works with an intuitive process in which the initial concept rarely remains the final outcome: the form transforms along the way, guided by proportion, material, and the act of making itself.

The objects balance between the organic and the architectural, between earthly weight and a suggestion of movement. Clean lines bend, rhythms repeat, surfaces shift from rough to smooth. Within these tensions emerges a visual language that evokes both fragments of construction and natural structures.

The work breathes a curiosity for material and technique: each object is a prototype that invites further exploration. The sculptures are not only outcomes, but also traces of a process in which change and discovery are central.

In this way, they embody the beauty of the unpredictable: an idea transformed through making, and a form that reveals itself only in the process.
