Alice Pandolfo French, b. 1993

Overview

Born in France, Alice Pandolfo lives and works in Brussels. The city is her playground and inspiration; the wastelands and construction sites of Brussels allow her to experiment in-situ installation where she combines her textile practice with sculpture and itinerant installation.

Pandolfo links her sculptural interrogations to the surplus of society. Her research brings to life the memories of the territories she invests in through the reuse of broken, forgotten or obsolete objects, brought in a pictural way.
Her sculptures, tinged with anachronism, transmit her attachment to craftsmanship and fascination for the manufactured object all the while questioning the interstices between time and space.

In 2020 Alice co-founded the artist run space Triphasé with her friend and artist Antoinette d'Ansembourg. The project provides a dozen artists' studios as well as an exhibition and experimentation space, for which she coordinates the programming.
